When I was doing this work, I was thinking about a story about a ring and a lake. Once a man dropped a ring in a lake called crystal lake, and years later, he found it in another lake. What I'm trying to convey is the feeling of two completely unconnected things being identical twins, two deep-set shapes meeting somewhere. This work wants the ceiling to meet the ground and overlap. So I made a piece of plastic the size of the ceiling of the room and wanted it to drop gradually, compressing and overlapping the space.
